The decision to open a concept store in Chapter House came almost at an impulse for Alex Cleary, one half of the brother-sister duo responsible for the Melbourne-based label Alpha-60. The store uses modular shelving units, which meant that the IBL lighting solutions had to work from within the racks themselves. As a result, LED lighting was interweaved into the cubic structures, which reflects off panelling before being diffused onto the clothing. The mix between the ancient grandeur of the building with the ultra-modern, modular shelves creates a dynamic and exciting contrast, and a uniquely different shopping experience.
